Week 5 - OLE MISS Let me start here by saying I am old enough to remember when Bama took the field and the thought was "I
wonder how much we will win by today?".  I am also old enough to remember Miss State spoiling the longest win streak
                  - and Ole Miss ruining Homecoming.  "BRICK GAME". Now that I have gotten that off
my chest, Bama comes off a victory over Florida Atlantic where they took care of business in a business like fashion, but
gave up the shutout.  Believe you me, if that is what we are concerned about, I'd say things are going well.
Im sure the coaches spent a big part of the week talking to the team about the numerous missed opportunities in the
red zone.  Settling for 3 instead of 6.  That said, I'm also sure the coaches were pleased to see some LONG Field
goal made. (4 in this game, one from 52yrds)  Something that was not so certain last year.  The final score 40 -
7 which seemingly could have been much worse. This week, the Tide returns to SEC play agains Ole
Miss.  The Rebs are fresh off a shutout against Tulane and the offense looked good scoring 39.  Their 3 and 1 record
also includes a loss to Texas to the tune of 66-31. Bamas D may be a bit challenged with the spread/option
and a running QB.  The Vegas Odds-makers have placed Bama as a 30+ favorite. I look for the
Tide to cover that with my fearless prediction of Bama 48 - Rebs 13. Roll Tide

WEEK 4 - BAMA vs Florida AtlanticBama disposed of Ark early in a game where the only doubt was if Wilson would play.  He didn't and
the outcome was 52 - 0.  Defense played lights out!!! Offense not shabby either - going deep in the rotation, playing
folks I was not familiar with. 	 Is
it just me or does it seem when Bama wins, we still feel uncertain as to how good this team is. Example, Bama easily wins
over Michigan and you hear "well Michigan is not as good as everyone said".  Bama a 21 point favorite vs a
Wilson-less Arkansas, they win by 52 (SHUTOUT) and you hear pundits say "well Arkansas is hapless, so we still don't
know how good bama is".  That leads me to the question, "who will Bama need to beat, before we know?"
                  - This week the Tide lines up against Florida Atlantic, and again they opposition will be out
manned, out talented and out coached.  Bama is a -- 50? point favorite. Not going out on
a limb here Bama 55 - FAU 7 Roll Tide

Week 3 - Bama's SEC opener on the road to ARKANSAS Strange week in College Football - As last week Arky falls to La Monroe.  Highly touted QB Tyler Wilson
was knocked out of the game with a concussion with a 21 - 7 lead, which turned the game as the War Hawks played lights out
defeating the Hoggs 34-31 in OT. This was such and upset, ESPN put the brakes on the Gameday crew
once headed to Fayetteville, and detoured them to Knoxville for FL vs Tenn - as the Bama vs Ark game; once billed - #1 vs
#8  is now #1 vs a team who tumbled out of the top 25.  With Wilson questionable Vegas reacted by moving the odds
from what was once less than a TD to almost 3 TD's @ 20.5. Bama handled Western Kentucky in a
very lackluster performance seeming flat, perhaps looking back at the win over the Big Blue, or perhaps forward to it's match-up
with Ark.  Though Bama scored with ease in the first half, you got the feeling the coaches reeled it in a bit during
the rest of the game. The big question all week has been will Wilson play? As of now, no one seems
to know, and if they do the Ark coaching staff is keeping it under wraps. I don't really have
a feel for this game.  So many unknowns, Ark could react like the wounded animal and lash out, but their Defense looked
very weak against the War Hawks.  Bama still somewhat untested in the secondary,  could be tested if Wilson plays.
Conventional wisdom says he sits, but when you are talking SEC football, conventional wisdom is seldom used. Wilson or not, Bama will win,  "Conventional Wisdom" tells me they cover the spread. Bama  37 - Ark 14

Bama ROLLS over BIG BLUE !!! Now Home to Western KyHow do you know if your team has arrived ?  When your foe is Western Kentucky and the Washington Post
sports headline is : No. 1 Alabama guarding
against overconfidence, letdown against underdog Western Kentucky Bama was a 14pt favorite
to Michigan and they disposed of them in pretty easy fashion. 41 - 14   That lead Coach Saban to a couple of rants this
week about not respecting Western Ky and not overlooking any opponent.   Bama is a 40 point favorite. JerryWorld was amazing.  No way to really describe it other than AMAZING!!! I was fortunate to be among those
who witnessed the Tide dismantling and disrupting Michigan and their Heisman Candidate Denard Robinson.   Bama rolled
in every facet of the game.  There were a couple of long pass plays against the secondary that Im sure gave the coaches
some fodder for this week.  Frosh RB TJ Yeldon was very impressive with 111 yards in 10 carries - a record for a true
freshman RB for the Tide.  W KW will be out manned at most positions, resutling in my pick
                  of BAMA 53 - 13 Roll Tide :)

Dallas - Tide VS MichiganHard to believe the 2012 Season is upon us.  2011 brought Bama's 14th National Title.  A lot of
talent to replace on Defense, but the offense should be very explosive.  Michigan lossing it's RB to suspension will
make a difference. I think Bama wins this one even without the suspension - but this will put more pressure on Heisman Trophy
candidate Denard Robinson.  Bama 31  Michigan 17 Roll Tide
