Bama 3 and 0 getting ready for Arkansas in Tuscaloosa.Bama really looked good (sans perhaps 2 plays) against North Texas. Rolling up more than 500 yards in Total Offense
all the while holding its opponent to less than 200.
Bamas QB - McElroy again, displayed why he is the starter,
going 13 of 15 with one drop. He really shows more poise as the games progress.
Bama rolled to defeat
NT 53 to 7.
It was really nice to see Bamas players who don't get much time, get into the game. Star Jackson
played a bit in the first half and all of the second half but a couple of series. He looked good considering and should
be capable of stepping in if needed.
Bama ratchets up the competition this Sat in Bryant Denny when they take on
Arkansas. Wow, I watched Ark and Ga. and I am still confused.... lots of points scored, and Ga won but not before the
two amassed over 1100 yards in total offense. The balls were really flying all over the field. Arkansas
under the tootlidage of former Auburn assistant Bobby Patrino looked unbelievable on the passing game, thanks to a transfer
QB from Michigan Ryan Mallett. He posted big numbers against Ga in spite of the loss. I look for Bama
to take a hit or too from him, prior to making the necessary adjustments.
So all that being said...oh and the weather
.. well that will be a factor too. Bama has been pretty good this year at not committing Turnovers, but not as good
as usual at making turnovers occur.
Here is my faithful pick : The Hogs will hang with the tide for
the first half...but Bama will simply be too much for them and figure a way to put Mallett on the pallet :) Tide 37 -
Hogs 20

Bama Rips FIU - Readies for North TexasI have on many occasion quoted former Coach Gene Stallings, " If you don't think these games against so call inferior
opponents are important? Just try loosing one."
Bama wasn't close to loosing to FIU but did manage to
make the first half a very interesting one. But looking at the game again, really take away a goof, snafu and a hiccup
here and there, and Bama was crushing them in the stats, tho the scoreboard indicated different.
FIU played tough
for the first qtr and into the second, but again this week Bama exerted it's strength in the 4th qtr and won going away....
Bama did prove a couple of things.
1 with Julio out of the game, the passing game didn't suffer. 2 McElroy completed an astonishing 14 passes in a row, and now holds the completion record at Al hopefully establishing
himself as a Good QB in the SEC. 3 Bamas Frosh RB Trent Richardson is "as advertised" ripping the D of FIU
for big yards.
This week at 1120 on Regional TV Bama takes on North Texas . I honestly dont' know
much about NT but Odds makers are putting Bama as a 35 and more Pt Fav. With an over Under of 52.
My
fearless pic: Look for Bama to pour it on early and play some of the reserves ....
Bama needs
to pick it up on Special Teams...
Bama 49 NT 10

BAMA ROLLS OVER HOKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 34-24Before I begin my post today, let me say... my heart still goes out to all the victims, relatives, and everyone affected by
what happened 8 years ago today.. God Bless America !!! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
WOW, was it exciting seeing the Crimson Tide run on the field for the first time in 09 or what?
Don't know
about you but those chills were running up and down my body.
First half was really Bama's but breaks, mistakes
and some good plays by Va Tech, made it very nerve wracking. Bama did look very good in the 4th as they seemd
to put it in another gear.... and dominate.
To me a totally uneducated fan, Bama's D is everything advertised...
the Offense, well .. I think the Offense may be better than folks think. To me they manhandled Va Tech and they have
a good Defense.
Time will tell. This week, Bama and Fla Int. Bama hung 38 on this group, last time they
played ... and I expect much of the same this week.
Bama 45 Fla Int 6 ROLL TIDE....
